05Solar in 2026: the math just changed

If you’ve read anything about solar payback periods that’s more than a year old, it’s probably now inaccurate — and not in solar’s favor.

For over a decade, the federal government offered a 30% tax credit (Section 25D, the Residential Clean Energy Credit) on the cost of a home solar installation.
